Card reader parameter settingIt needs to know the card type to set card reader parameter. The card issuer can be operated online with the software within 5~10 seconds after connecting to computer; When Over 10 seconds after connected and the card reader is in virtual keyboard mode,then it Jumps to virtual keyboard mode, cannot be online with the software;If you want to go online with the software, you need to reset the card issuer (plug and unplug the USB).
1. You need to know what type of card number your controller is displaying; 1) when the card reader connected to the WG controller, swipe the card, and the controller software will display a card number to confirm what type of card number is.
2. The newest card reader software; Download from our link or contact with our sales.
4. Insert USB cable of the card reader into the computer USB port. 1) 1) wait 1
-2 seconds to click the "online" button of the software; 2) or press F5 key. When the USB device is not empty, click the "online" button;
5. After online success, the card reading demonstration interface will be entered.(Do step 4 again if you do not enter the card reader demo interface)
6. Switch the current interface to "basic parameters";
7. If you do not know whether the card reader has set parameters before, please click "default all parameters" and "set parameters" button in turn to restore the card reader parameters to default parameters;Ignore this step if you know it;
8. Set the card number type to be issued 1) Determine the WG category of your controller; i. If the WG category is WG26,Set the "Output byte" to 3; ii. If the WG category is WG34,Set the "Output byte" to 4; 2) Determine the card number type displayed on the controller i. When it is Decimal card NO., set “output type”to” Decimal card NO.”; ii. When it is hexadecimal card NO., set “output type”to” hexadecimal card NO..”; iii. When it is Standard Wiegand card NO., set “output type”to” Standard Wiegand card NO.”; 3) Determine the length of card number displayed on the controller software; i. Usually 8 digits;Set the "display length" to 8; ii. Set the "display length" to this value if the length is different on the controller; 4) Make sure that if you want the card number with operation of “enter” ((generally speaking, if the card number is output, whether you demand the line is changed, want Newline?); i. Option is as the arrows”d”show; 5) if the card number you want to output is not used on the WG controller, you can also set the output byte to other lengths;(the output type needs to be set to 16
-bit business card number) 6) After parameter modification, click "set parameters" button to save the set parameters in the card issuer;

2) Quit programming: temporarily enter the card reader into virtual keyboard mode;(after replugging USB, the card reader reverts to the mode set last time)
